MNmask team receives new grant

The MNmask team received a grant from the Office of Discovery and Translation (ODAT) through the Targeted RFA for Innovations to Address COVID-19-related Healthcare Impacts. ODAT provides early-stage funding to support the translation of research discoveries into innovative products and services that positively impact human health. The program is intended to identify and fund early-stage projects in which the primary goal is to develop solutions that address direct or indirect healthcare impacts created or exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grant was awarded to Drs. Linsey Griffin, PI, and co-I’s S. Arnold, M. Hillmeyer, R. Franklin, and J. Bechtold, with a matching donation from Cummins, Inc., to support the team’s research on alternative PPE in response to COVID-19 related PPE shortages.
