Jennifer Sahmel MPH, CIH, CSP
Jennifer Sahmel is a Principal Health Scientist with Insight Exposure and Risk Sciences, Inc. in Boulder, Colorado, where she works on a wide range of projects related to human health exposure and risk assessment. She is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a Certified Safety Professional with over 20 years of experience in exposure assessment science and workplace health and safety. Her areas of expertise include exposure assessment and reconstruction, qualitative and quantitative dermal exposure assessment methods, Bayesian decision analysis, EPA exposure assessment tools, and product stewardship and sustainability issues. Prior to Insight, she worked at Cardno ChemRisk, LLC, the U.S. EPA’s Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics in Washington, DC, the National Park Service, Comprehensive Health Services at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, and FMC Corporation. Jennifer earned her MPH degree in Environmental Health and Industrial Hygiene from the University of California at Berkeley in 1996 and is currently working on her PhD in Environmental Health Science at the University of Minnesota. She is also active in the American Industrial Hygiene Association and is a past member of their national board of directors.
